National Ruffed Grouse Society   Established in 1961, the Ruffed Grouse Society is the one international wildlife conservation organization dedicated to promoting conditions suitable for ruffed grouse, American woodcock and related wildlife to sustain our sport hunting tradition and outdoor heritage.

	This project came into being at the beginning of 2000 when Dr. Chris Hageseth left his medical career to pursue a dream - the creation of a television show about upland bird hunting and bird hunting dogs. He was successful and his show, Bird Dogs Forever, was picked up by the Outdoor Life Network, where 24 original shows were aired from 2001 to 2004. Reruns of the show are now available for viewing on the Sportsman Channel.   The Bird Dogs Forever website grew out of that show.
